Life – Life Insurance

Plan for the future

You realize the importance of protecting your family and loved ones from the unexpected turns life can take. Maybe you’ve thought about life insurance as part of a solution but were worried about the cost. That’s where term life insurance comes in. The Roger W. Dwyer Agency offers TrueTermSM, an affordable alternative to permanent life insurance.

Excellent coverage at affordable rates

  • Premium rates guaranteed for 10, 15, 20 or 30 years*
  • Optional riders to customize your policy*
  • Option to convert your term policy into a permanent policy*

Consider your needs
When choosing the term period and protection amount for your TrueTerm policy, you should consider the:

  • age of your children
  • amount remaining on your mortgage
  • amount of all other ongoing expenses
  • income your family would have if the family’s primary wage earner were gone
  • cost of childcare if a stay-at-home parent weren’t there to provide it

Coverage options
TrueTerm provides protection starting at $50,000 with premiums locked in for the period you choose including 10-, 15-, 20- or 30-year terms.* After the guaranteed level premium period, your premiums will increase each year according to a guaranteed set of premium rates.

Upgrade your protection
Once you own TrueTerm, you may convert your term policy into a permanent policy with the same face amount.* If you apply for a permanent policy within the first 10 years of coverage, you may also receive a conversion premium credit equal to your first-year term premium.

It may cost less than you think
To make sure you get the most competitive rates for TrueTerm, six underwriting categories have been idenified based on factors such as:

  • age
  • family and personal history
  • health
  • activities

If you’re a non-smoker with a healthy lifestyle, we reward you with better rates.

Customizing your protection
TrueTerm offers a number of optional features so you can customize your policy.

Additional Insured Rider
allows you to cover two people under one policy. You may also convert the additional insured’s policy to permanent insurance without proof of insurability pursuant to rider limitations. This rider was designed for a spouse but could be used to cover another family member such as parents or siblings.

Child Protection Rider
allows you to buy up to $20,000 of additional insurance for each of your children to provide coverage up to the age of 25, or until the insured reaches the age of 65 if sooner. The option to convert to permanent coverage at favorable rates occurs when each child turns 25, or on the date the conversion benefit expires if sooner. To qualify for the rider, the child you’re insuring must be 17 years old or younger, and the primary insured must be between 18 and 64 years old.

Accelerated Death Benefit
pays the lesser of $250,000 or half your TrueTerm death benefit if you are diagnosed with a terminal illness and are expected to die within a year.

Waiver of Premium helps cover the cost of policy premiums if you become permanently and/or totally disabled and are unable to earn income.

Accidental Death Benefit pays an additional death benefit if you die as a result of an accident.

Is TrueTerm right for you?

To help you decide if a TrueTerm policy is right for you, ask yourself these questions:

  • Do family members rely on me and my income?
  • Would they have trouble paying bills, a mortgage, and medical or educational costs if I passed away unexpectedly?
  • Am I looking for a high level of insurance coverage for a fixed period of time?
  • Am I concerned about the cost of life insurance?
  • Do I want flexibility and options with my insurance policy?

If you answered yes to any or all of these questions, you’re probably a good candidate for TrueTerm life insurance policy. Although no one likes to think about dying unexpectedly, you owe it to your loved ones to make sure you’re covered.
